The Korean Academy of Child Health Nursing strives to encourage the theoretical and practical development of child health nursing through academic and multidisciplinary exchanges between members and aims to contribute to health maintenance, health promotion, disease prevention, and recovery for children, including infants and adolescents, as well as their families.
Message from President of
Korean Academy of Child Health Nursing!
The most illustrious and notable academic organization in Korea's child health care sector is the Korean Academy of Child Health Nursing (KACHN). KACHN is committed to assisting children and families, from newborns to adolescents, in enhancing their health and preventing disease.
KACHN carries out a range of activities, such as two annual conferences, funding for research, awards for exceptional research, and programs aimed at empowering younger researchers. These programs are designed to improve their educational and research abilities in the field of child health care. The official journal of KACHN is called Child Health Nursing Research (CHNR). Publishing original research and review papers on nursing and health care for children and their families, from the beginning of life to young adulthood, it is an open-access, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal.
The majority of KACHN's members are academic faculty and researchers, along with child care experts employed in hospitals and community settings. KACHN is committed to promoting intellectual and multidisciplinary contacts among its members in order to advance the theoretical and practical elements of child health nursing. As KACHN members, we are honored to have made a positive impact on children's health and we continue to be dedicated to the goal of eliminating health disparities as mandated by our academic organization. We will keep working to ensure that children and their families have fair access to a variety of resources.
